Founded in 2018 in Nanjing, China. Our team brings more than 20 years of research, production and management experience.

Two divisions

The pharmaceutical division develops medicines for diabetes: it makes insulin and GLP-1 peptides by genetic engineering and explores new approaches through stem cell therapy and the gut microbiome.

The protein division supplies pharmaceutical companies, culture media makers and research institutes with recombinant proteins, enzymes and growth factors, and can go from gene synthesis to gram-scale product and a complete process in as little as 2–3 weeks.

Milestones

  1. 2018

    • Nanjing Cellnuo Biotechnology is founded and raises its angel round.

  2. 2019

    • The first product process goes into production at 1,000 L.

  3. 2020

    • Nanjing Cellnuo Biopharmaceutical, a fully owned subsidiary, opens in Jiangbei New Area.

    • A Pre-A round, and a protein drug screening platform in Jiangbei.

  4. 2021

    • The 1,600 m² CMC laboratory in Jiangbei opens.

    • The 1,100 m² pilot plant in Jiangbei is built.

    • SN001 reaches pre-IND

  5. 2022

    • The biosimilar SN001 completes its IND; the new drug SN006 shows good results in its PK pre-study.

  6. 2023

    • CPHI Worldwide, Barcelona

    • CPHI China 2024, Shanghai

  8. 2026

    • Bio-China 2026 in Suzhou
